We've created a free yearly calendar in Excel to add to our collection of calendar and scheduling templates. This spreadsheet shows 12 months on a single page, beginning with the year and month of your choice. It is easily customizable and there are no macros. See below for more details. We list other yearly calendars at the bottom of this page.
For a ready-made 2008, 2009, or 2010 yearly calendar in PDF format, see our new Free Printable Yearly Calendars.

These spreadsheets contain one full year of monthly calendars (each month on a separate tab) as well as a yearly calendar in landscape format. These are the same files contained within the Calendar Template download, but they are included here specifically because they work in OpenOffice and are part of the 2009 Yearly Calendar Collection.

Yearly Calendar Features:
1) Choose the Year and the Starting Month
Enter the starting year and month at the top of the calendar. For example, if you are creating a yearly calendar for school year 2008-2009, you can start with month=8 (August). For those who use a fiscal year for their business planning, this yearly calendar is just right.
2) Sunday or Monday First
Much of the world uses a calendar that starts on Monday rather than Sunday. Our new yearly calendar (version 1.2.0) now includes this option.
3) Vertex42 Style
We enjoy making spreadsheets that are both simple, stylish, and
user-friendly. Sometimes creating something with style requires us to use advanced features. For example, the yearly calendar template uses conditional formatting to make the blank cells light blue.
One Month in the Yearly Calendar.
You can delete the conditional formatting if you want and add your own formatting to highlight specific dates in the calendar. To delete the conditional formatting, select all the cells in the calendar and go to Format > Conditional Formatting > Delete.
4) Changing the Calendar Color
Probably the easiest way to change the colors in your yearly calendar is to modify the color via the Color pallette (Tools > Options > Color tab).

Other Yearly Calendars
- Excel Calendar PRO - Vertex42.com - This is Vertex42's popular calendar creator for Excel. It can be used to create yearly calendars in which each month is a separate tab or worksheet. It also allows you to dynamically adjust the color scheme.
- Free "Universal" Yearly Calendar - DOTXLS.com - This site has a free yearly calendar for Excel, which they call a "universal" one-year calendar template. It is similar to the one listed on this page, but you might want to check it out.
- Yearly Calendar - TimeAndDate.com - This online (web-based) calendar lists holidays and other yearly events for any year that you specify.
- Printable Yearly Calendar - Paulding.net - This is another online calendar that lets you include a graphic at the top of the page. However, if you
own Excel, you can do much more with an Excel yearly calendar template in terms of adding custom graphics.
